Are you dyslexic ?

You think you are dyslexic or you have been diagnosed with dyslexia, and you are looking for solutions to help you,

This page is for you!

Unique strengths

Dyslexia affects your daily life. Choppy reading, confusion of letters, reversals, omissions … In short, writing is difficult. It is important to remember that dyslexia is not a deficiency but a different way of functioning of your vision and its retranscription in the brain.

Dyslexia is above all a strength! The qualities of dyslexics are often perseverance, the ability to innovate easily and fluency in speaking. These strengths are precious assets in the work environment.

Did you know ?

Some companies are looking primarily for dyslexic people. At NASA, for example, more than 50% of employees are dyslexic because they have very good vision in space and the ability to solve complex problems. They are used to making an effort and taking it upon themselves to compensate for their reading difficulties, and this makes them more perseverant in life!

A great discovery for dyslexics

Albert Le Floch and Guy Ropars, two French physicists, were awarded a prize by the French Academy of Medicine in December 2020 for their discoveries on dyslexia.

By chance, while studying the eye, these two researchers found a new possible cause of dyslexia. The cause is an excessive symmetry of Maxwell’s centroids in the fovea at the back of the retina.

For non-dyslexic people, these Maxwell centroids are arranged differently from one eye to the other. It is this arrangement that determines the directing eye.

For the dyslexic person the blue cones of both eyes form a ’round’ centroid. The arrangement of these photoreceptors is therefore identical from one eye to the other: there is no directing eye.

In the case of ocular non-dominance, the brain will receive, at the same time and in an equivalent way, an image perceived by each eye. These two “mirror” images will be superimposed on each other, leading to reading difficulties which are found in many dyslexic people.

Lili : an assistive technology for your everyday life

How does Lili for Life’s innovation work ?

In order to promote this discovery as widely as possible, our R&D team has developed an innovation that allows dyslexics to erase the mirror image to read faster and easier.

Lili emits flashes of light, imperceptible to the naked eye, which make the perception of writing more precise for many dyslexics. In the long term, the light beams help them memorise more words, which leads to progress in reading and spelling.

Lili does not cure dyslexia. It is an assistive technology that reduces fatigue and makes reading easier.

What are the benefits?

  • For 30%, Lili causes a “wow” effect with a real difference in visual perception from the first use.

  • For others, it will facilitate long-term reading (speed, fluidity) after several uses.

  • A majority report a reduction in reading fatigue.

  • Beyond reading, there are behavioural gains: self-confidence, motivation to work and to the reading task, concentration, etc.

Developed and made in France

Lili is connected, ergonomic, autonomous, movable in order to promote mobility and accessibility in all circumstances.
